GP 2014: Japan puts away Thailand in four sets

Japan downed Thailand in four sets (25-18, 25-15, 19-25, 25-20) in Pool F play in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2014 at Hong Kong Coliseum on Sunday.

Japan’s Saori Kimura scored a match-high 18 points.

Sittirak Onuma and Chaisri Tapaphaipun notched 15 points each for Thailand.

Japan has beaten Thailand in five of seven meetings in the World Grand Prix.

Japan won this game on defence as they managed to block a staggering number of 18 attacks.
