GP 2014: Fabiana: “We hope to do our best

Brazil showed an impressive performance by beating Thailand in straight sets in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix at the Indoor Stadium Huamark on Sunday.

Brazil captain Fabiana Claudino: “I feel very happy with the way we played today. We performed well and have shown that we are a great team. Thailand is very impressive in this match. We hope to do our best in the Final Six in Japan.” 

Brazil coach Jose Roberto Lages Guimaraes: “This is a good match. Thailand is a strong team with high spirit. Now we will prepare ourselves for the finals which we have to see which two other teams will join us in the finals.”

Thailand captain Wilavan Apinyapong: “I’d like to congratulate Brazil for qualifying to finals. Despite the loss, I am very proud of my team. We made a great effort and played very well. I think we improved a lot from the beginning of this tournament. I want to thank all the volleyball fans for coming and cheering for us today. 

Thailand coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai: “Congratulations to the Brazilian team. They have many strong players who have played a very good match. I think we have done our best in every match in this tournament. We will keep all these experiences to improve our team in the Asian Games.”
