Taubaté – Bohemios
As it was expected Taubaté won by 3-0, with partial 25-14, 25-18, 25-11.
Defending the South American title, Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei of Brazil defeated the representative of Bolivia, San Martín with the same result in a match with a marked difference of potentials – 25-5, 25-14, 25-8.
Home team of UPCN San Juan Voley managed to score the win against Linares from Chile, on its debut in the 15th edition of the South American Club Championship. The four-time champions of Argentina won 3-0, with partial 25-22, 27-25 and 25-20 at the closing game of the day.
The top scorers of the matches were Rodrigo Telles (Taubaté) with 11 points while Paulo Victor and Kadu, both from Sada Cruzeiro, had 12.
The opposite of UPCN, Nikolay Uchikov, and Linares’ Tomás Parraguirre, each noted 10 points.
