ARG: Friendly tour – social date at the farewell of Argentina & Italy from Azul

The bad weather and heavy rain did not stop at all Buenos Aires province and the utmost effort carried out by Azul people to go on with the friendly series of matches between the Youth's Boys teams of Argentina and Italy was not enough. As the city of Azul is on alertness due to the possible level of its river and the possible flooding, a city hall order established to suspend the fourth match this Friday night but anyhow the farewell of both teams was very exciting. Now, it will be the time to go on playing in Bolivar this Saturday and Sunday.

During the whole day, with heaters and all kind of materials, even pressure machines, the people of Club Azul Voley, headed by Rodolfo Pauluzzi worked without stop trying to dry the floor of Sagrada Familia field. Both teams trained during the morning but the rain did not stop at all.

Then, in the afternoon, Azul government decided to suspend the activity so at the time to start with the final preparation for the match in a ceremony held at the venue it was officially announced that the same would not take place. Anyhow, outside the bad news, the closing ceremony was full of smiles.

Both delegations, through out their managers, thanked very warmly the effort done by the host organization from Azul. They also thanked the teams that with their presence showed their will to play the match. The organization then gave local products to the Argentine and Italian delegations.

Also, the Sport Director Pieri Saldaño in the name of the city hall Mayor, José Inza, thanked both delegations as the Mayor due to the city weather could not be at the stadium pointing out that Azul doors would always be open for Volleyball activities. At the same ceremony Azul Italian community officials and former historical officials of Azul Voley Club gave presents to the guests.

Even though there was no match, Sagrada Familia stadium was full of children that could share moments and get pictures with the players. Then, the tour was successful in Azul as social event and to get near its people with volleyball and now only Bolivar is left for the teams to play their last two matches.
