The Chinese Women’s volleyball championship powerhouse Shanghai solved the problem of a starting setter for the upcoming season.

A 28-year-old Mi Yang, who represented Chinese National Team in the 2012 London Olympics, has left Fujian and moved to Shanghai.

Yang retired in 2013 after suffering criticism from the coach in Tianjin, her club at the time, for not playing well, and no club wanted to hire her until Fujian came to the rescue in 2014. Yang stayed with them for the next three seasons.

This probably means that Shanghai gave up on the Dutch National Team setter Laura Dijkema, who was mentioned as the possible reinforcement of the club on the setter position.
