In Paris, where the Brazil National Team trains at the moment, their head coach Dal Zotto (again) announced the final list of players for the World Championship 2022 which will start on Friday. Lucas Saatkamp ’Lucão’ is back on the squad as medical staff convinced Dal Zotto that an experienced middle blocker is ready to play after recently suffering an injury. This means that young Leonardo Andrade ‘Léo’, who stepped in for Lucão, got crossed out for the second time.

All in all, ’Seleção’ will go the most important volleyball event this year with as many as seven debutants, exactly the half of the roster: Rodriguinho, Adriano, Fernando Cachopa, Leandro Aracaju, Flávio, Darlan, and Felipe Roque.

To compete in the World Championship in Poland and Slovenia, Dal Zotto summoned setters Bruninho and Fernando Cachopa, opposite hitters Darlan, Felipe Roque, and Wallace, middle blockers Flávio, Leandro Aracaju, and Lucão, outside hitters Adriano, Leal, Lucarelli, and Rodriguinho, and liberos Maique and Thales.
