Roberley Leonaldo ’Rubinho’ is the man of confidence of Brazil’s head coach Bernardo Rezende. Thanks to his suggestions, a new name might appear on Rezende’s list of players for Rio Olympics.

Rubinho was sent to Rio Olympics Qualifiers in Berlin, Germany, to observe potential opponents of Brazil’s NT, but also at the recent South American Club Championship in Taubaté, Brazil.

According to Bruno Voloch from estadao.com.br, Rubinho wrote one name in his notebook – Filipe Ferraz, receiver/outside hitter from Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei.

At the of 35, he showed that he was in great shape, leading his team to trophy at the tournament. In previous years, Filipe took all possible titles with Cruzeiro.

So far, Filipe did not make his debut for Brazil’s NT, but Rubinho’s suggestion might change it and he could easily be on Rezende’s list for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
