The Volleyball Federation of India is planning to establish brand new professional Indian Volleyball League (Men and Women) as well as Indian Beach Volleyball League with eight teams each.

All leagues will be jointly owned by the Federation and sports marketing company „Baseline“ with equal shareholding. While the Federation will manage the sporting side of the league, „Baseline“ will handle the marketing.

Teams are likely to be priced between 10,000 and 20,000 dollars and each of these teams will consist of professional players from around the globe.

For the beach volleyball league, the organisers will start scouting for a few exotic beach locations where the game could be played.
