Flavio Gualberto and Kelvin Campechano were the top blockers with 4 each for Brazil and Dominican Republic respectively. “We had a very well balanced match tonight, but we still can improve, the Dominican team played much better than in their first match against Agentina, obviously they had a long trip”, said Leonardo Carvalho, coach of Brazil.
“They showed more consistency in the attack, service and blocking game, those were key factors to their victory, anyway I am glad for the job my team did in the first two sets, that were so even, but in the third Brazil overcame against us”, stated cuban coach Osiel Vazquez, who is in charge of the Dominican Republic team.
Brazil will face Argentina in the first match of this Thursday, while Canada will match the Dominican team. Mexico has a bye date.
