CL M: Lube end Modena’s road to the quarterfinals, BR Volleys victorious in Belgium

Modena have ended their participation in the CEV Champions League.

Lube Civitanova have pushed Modena out of the CEV Champions League. With this defeat, there are almost no chances for Modena to stay in the race for the quarterfinals.

Modena only managed to take the lead but in the continuation of the match, Lube were slightly better and won the game in four sets. 

Tsvetan Sokolov was the man of the match for Lube with 21 points, while Osmany Juantorena contributed with 20. In the home team, that played without injured Christenson, Tine Urnaut scored 20 points.

Greenyard Maaseik didn’t manage to win the game against BR Volleys. The German team somehow came out as the winners.

Knack Roeselare – Halkbank 20:30 CET Thursday

Modena – Lube Civitanova 1-3 (27-25. 26-28, 23-25, 21-25)

Chaumont – Zenit St. Petersburg 2-3 (24-26, 25-13, 19-25 25-17, 18-20)

ACH Ljubljana – VFB Friedrichshafen 18:00 CET, Thursday

Standings: Zenit Sp 5-0 (12 points), Chaumont 3-2 (10 points), Friedrichshafen 1-3 (4 points), ACH Volley 0-4 (1 point)

Trefl Gdansk – PGE Skra Belchatow 18:00 CET Thursday

Greenyard Maaseik – BR Volleys 2-3 (25-22, 25-20, 29-31, 22-25, 13-15)

Standings: Gdansk 3-1 (9 points), Skra 2-2 (7 points), Maaseik 2-3 (6 points), BR Volleys 2-3 (5 points)
