A team of coach Guidetti will have a chance to defend the trophy which they won last year. They secured their participation in Bucuresti (5-6 May) after they defeated Volero ZURICH with 2-0 in Playoffs 6.
Today, just like two weeks ago, Vakifbank outplayed Volero in straight sets (25-12, 25-14, 25-17) and the result during the sets showed how much they were dominated. Again in the block but this time they scored three blocks more (14).
Zhu Ting was the top scorer with 21 points followed by Lonneke Slöetjes 14 points and Milena Rašić 9 points, who put 4 blocks. In the Swiss team, Alexandra Lazić and Nancy Carrillo scored 6 points each.
