CSM-Bucuresti
The fifth-placed team in Divizia A1, CSM București, stunned the second-placed LMV Tricolorul Ploiești by a 3-1 (25-22, 15-25, 25-23, 25-21) in Round 15. By scoring the win, CSM București are close to securing their birth in Stage 2 of the championship in which six best teams will advance. Only three rounds ago, they were far from this. As for Ploiești, they might fall to the third place in the standings in case CS Arcada Galați beat CS Dinamo București, tomorrow.
Gabriel Bontea topped CSM București in today’s game with 26 points, while Veniamin-Ioan Aldea made 4 aces. In Ploiești, a duo of veterans Bogdan Olteanu and Laurențiu Lică scored 14 points each.
