ROU W: CSM officially new champions of Romania

Today, the last match of the Romanian volleyball league was play between CSM Bucuresti and Timisoara and the host team officially became the new champion.

CSM Bucuresti defeated Timisoara in straight set (25-9, 26-24, 25-16) and finished season with 73 points. CSM won the title for the first time in history.

The second-ranked team is Volei Alba Blaj with 70 points while the third is Știința Bacău with 54 points.

It was the last match of this season, but also the last test before the Final Four of the Romanian Cup, scheduled for the weekend April 27-28, in Bacau. The participants are Știința Bacău, Volei Alba Blaj, CSM Bucuresti and CSM Târgoviște.

By winning the title, CSM ensured their presence in the Champions League for season 2018/2019.
