After beating Italy in Round 1 of the WGCC 2017 in Japan in the tie-break, Iran did the same against the USA in Round 2 in Nagoya, but this time after making an incredible turnaround.
The players coached by the Montenegrin Igor Kolaković seemed lost in the first two sets before starting to play like they were in the trance and achieved the second win in the tournament.
Milad Ebadipour topped Iran with 18 points. Matthew Anderson and Taylor Sander collected 17 points each for the USA.
