Miroslav Aksentijević resigned as the head coach of the Croatian Women’s NT due to the health problems, namely with his heart.

The Croatian Volleyball Federation (HOS) has appointed Igor Lovrinov as the new head coach and he will lead the national team in EuroVolley 2017.

This was the second time that Aksentijević was at the helm of Croatia. Firstly, he led them to the 2009 CEV European Championship and 2010 FIVB World Championship, while he started his second mandate in 2015.
