Bulgaria
In the final of Challenger Cup, Bulgaria outplayed Colombia with 3-1 (22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-23) and in the next year’s VNL will be replacing Argentina, who finished last amongst the Challenger Teams of this year’s edition.
Mariya Karakasheva scored 20 points from the winning team while Colombia’s Dayana Patricia Segovia was the best scorer of the game with 24 points.
Puerto Rico won the third place at the tournament. Shirley Ferrer Fontanez scored 28 points in the win of Puerto Rico against hosts Peru 3-2 (22-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-17, 16-14) .
