Thanks to an excellent sports talent, Stefanie Karg made it into the ranks of elite athletes. She is known as the pride of the Dresdner. I just had the good fortune to be able to play in great teams with dedicated coaches. Now we train twice a day.

Mercedes-Benz just engaged in the youth field as a sponsor, it provided the club with great joy. “I think it’s great that they support this future-oriented project, Dresdner alwways promoted the developement of young players.

Stefanie Karg, who alongside her professional career has a teaching degree, says: “We are a team of very different characters and nations. If young players can learn from us, it’s like a match point!

Stefanie Karg played since 2003 for Dresdner SC on the middle blocker position. She began her career in her home club in Hoyerswerda. She was later trained at the junior team of VC Olympia Dresden. In 2004, she participated with the national junior team on the European Championship. She played in the Volleyball Champions League with Dresdner SC. In Bundesliga, Stefanie Karg won the German championship in 2007 and was called to the senior national squad. In 2010, she was involved in the biggest success of the DSC, as the team was the German Cup and the European Cup winner.
