Ural Ufa is coached by the Italian Angelino Frigoni and is composed of players who know the Italian league such as Brasilian spiker Leandro Vissotto (at CUNEO last season and TRENTINO from 2008 to 2010). PIACENZA had a perfect run so far with ten wins in as many games but the Russians have been impressive too with 9 wins out of 10.

Davide Marra (libero Copra Elior PIACENZA): “We’re ready. We had time to work in the gym, and not only to prepare this final. We know the Ural UFA of Frigoni is an excellent team and that it won’t be easy, they have great players like Vissotto”.

Guido Molinaroli (Presidente Copra Elior PIACENZA): “This is our 11th final in 11 year spent at the highest level. But for the first time ever, the city of PIACENZA will host the deciding game of a European cup. I am happy and proud of this team which is probably the strongest I’ve seen since I took over as President”.

Hristo Zlatanov (captain Copra Elior PIACENZA): “In all those years, we never had a chance to play for a trophy in front of our supporters. A few years ago, we had failed to win the league at home against TRENTINO, and instead we won it on the road. This will therefore be the first real opportunity to celebrate with our fans. We really want to win it. We always believed we could do well, both as individuals and as a team. Ufa can be compared to TRENTINO. In Russia, they’re playing really well, they have a deep roster with excellent back-ups. Our goal is to be as ready as possible and fight on every ball”.
