CEV CL M: Olympiacos Dominates Las Palmas in Champions League Qualifiers

Olympiacos secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Las Palmas in the first leg of their CEV Champions League second-round match. With this dominant performance, Olympiacos now needs just two sets in the return leg in the Canary Islands to advance to the third qualifying round.

The team, led by head coach Andrea Gardini, showcased their class on the court. Aleksandar Atanasijevic, who was named MVP of the match, led the charge with 16 points scored, sealing the final score with a powerful ace.

Other standout performances included Gordon Perrin, Rafaíl Koumentákis, and Alen Pajenk, who contributed 13, 12, and 11 points, respectively. The return of Mitar Djuric (Tzourits) from injury was also a highlight, as he delivered a flawless attacking performance with 8/8 successful attacks and one ace.

In other Champions League second-round qualifiers, Hypo Tirol Innsbruck defeated HAOK Mladost 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-18), while Dutch side Orion Doetinchem triumphed over Serbian team Crvena Zvezda, also with a 3-0 win (26-24, 25-20, 25-20).
