Recall that Olympiacos triumphed against Panathinaikos after a thrilling 5-setter, while the game was marked by a very controversial decision of the main referee who decided to take away the crucial point from Panathinaikos in the 4th set.

Panathinaikos therefore issued an official statement regarding this match.
“Congratulations to the girls, to our coaching staff and to all of our fans who watched the match and supported our team. We are all proud of you. The only person responsible for our defeat is the main referee who made that ridiculous decision in 4th set.”
