If the fans of Rebecchi Nordmeccanica PIACENZA had the illusion that the path in the playoffs was downhill, the two-hour fight against KGS Robursport PESARO has shown the opposite. The hummingbirds have frightened the Cup winners, taking the lead 2:1 in sets before surrendering to Floortje Meijners and teammates. In Banca Marche Palas, the girls of Andrea Pistola will try to put pressure on PIACENZA and return to PalaBanca for game 3. They are strengthened by the knowledge that they have nothing to lose and that they have the weapons to fight the army of Giovanni Caprara (who continues his unbeaten record on the bench of PIACENZA in national competitions). If Kenny Moreno Pino improves her percentages, and if Lauren Gibbemeyer and Elisa Manzano have a similar performance as in game 1, KGS may be able to win.
