2021/22 Italian Women’s Volleyball Championship unrolled with an upset.
Already in the opening match of the 2021/22 Serie A1, we have witnessed a surprise: Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio prevailed over Vero Volley Monza, one of the great favorites of the championship who earned such an attribute thanks to their transfer activities in the offseason. The ‘Butterflies’ won 3-1 (15-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-23) after producing practically nothing offensively in the first set.
Camilla Mingardi highlighted the winning side with 20 points. Lucia Bosetti made 80 % reception (10 digs, one error, 40 % perfect).
