Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano never give up, and Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri learned that the hard way in the match of the 17th round of the 2022–23 Italian Women’s Volleyball Championship.

Imoco swerved in the first two sets against the unleashed Chieri as they went down 0-2 in sets but smelled the panic in their rivals to reach success at the tie-break of Round 17’s closing match of the 2022–23 Serie A. This way, the “Panthers“, who lead the competition, kept Savino Del Bene Scandicci at a safe distance in the standings (+4) after having risked collapsing and interrupting the winning streak of 17 games overall (five games in Serie A). Brave Chieri had the same winning streak in Serie A before the game, and today they had to settle for taking a point at home.

The Swede Isabelle Haak stood out for Imoco with 30 points but Federica Squarcini was also great, making five blocks and serving four aces. Francesca Villani tallied 18 points on the losing side, while Alessia Mazzaro had four blocks.
