Italian coach Mauro Berruto: “We have a little reason to smile in the end. We played a lot away from our potential in this entire tournament. We have played very far from our level, even tonight. The Championship is not over for us. It will be over when we analyse together the reasons for this result in order to avoid this kind of situation in the future. We have to understand that and work on the situation.”

Australian coach Jon Uriarte: “Nobody likes to finish with a defeat. We really had an important year in our short history of high performance volleyball in Australia. We achieved more than we expected in the beginning of this year. We reached the second round, which gave us a big opportunity to play against the strongest teams in the world. We have potential inside the group. Of course we have a lot to improve but we are ready to do it. Our next goal will be advance to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.”
