ITA M: Spettacolo!!! Unbelievable comeback of Trentino!

Only great teams can perform such a comeback… And Trentino is a great team! In the Game 1 of the Serie A finals, the squad led by Radostin Stoychev “returned from the dead” and defeated Modena by 3-2 in sets!

The away squad was 2-0 ahead and they were cruising toward the valuable break. However, Trentino won the exciting 3^rd set, while then the home team prevailed in perhaps the crucial 4^th set.

Modena had the match point at 24:23 and a player of Trentino spiked the ball out of bounds! Victory for the Yellows? NO! Radostin Stoychev called for a video replay and it will stay remembered as one of the most difficult reviews in this season. Because no one could know for sure if the ball touched the block of Modena, even after reviewing the play! At the end, the referee gave the point to Trentino – 24:24! The home side has taken over the control of the set and Emanuele Birarelli finished it with a big block on Earvin N’Gapeth – 28:26! Tie-break!

There, Trentino escaped to 10:7, but Modena managed to tie the score at 10:10. The home side regained the lead at 11:10, and then Sebastian Sole made an ace for 12:10… A few moments later Trentino increased the lead to 14:11… It was Matey Kaziyski who ended the match with a great spike – 15:12. Trentino won the game by 3-2 and took the lead in the final series by 1-0.

Modena top scorers: Petrić 32, N’Gapeth 27.
