Andrea Sartoretti, one of true legends of Italian volleyball, was famous by one segment of his play – serving.

During his career as a professional player which ended in 2009, Sartoretti took two gold medals at European championships, he was one-time world champion, fivefold World League winner and one-time World Cup title holder with Italy’s National Team.

But, many volleyball fans remember him by his uncommon serving. He needed a lot of space to run-up, throwing ball up with his right hand, rotating his body and spiking with his left hand. Recall how it looked like…

Now, Sartoretti is member of DHL Modena’s management, but still likes to remind everybody on his famous serve, just like on training in Poland, where his team prepares for the CEV Champions League game against Lotos Trefl Gdańsk.
