It’s not good. Aleksandar Atanasijević will have to undergo surgery. Serbian opposite missed the World League 2016 final tournament, as he was feeling pain in his leg, while after detailed medical exams the doctors determined that the player will have to go “under knife”.

”Unfortunately, we have confirmation that we will lose Atanasijević for almost two months. He will have to undergo surgery, because the doctors determined that he has something called “stress fracture” in his tibial bone. In the past couple of years Atanasijević has not had enough time to rest from volleyball and this is the result of that. The intervention is necessary in this moment, so the player could avoid some more serious problems in the future,“ said Sirci.

WorldofVolley team wish Atanasijević a quick and successful recovery.
