The 200 crowd witnessed an enjoyable hard-fought game against the B1 team of Messina. Pierlorenzo Buzzelli stood out with 22 points, well served by setter Jacobsen who substituted Overbeeke who will join the group at a later date.
“It was an excellent friendly game – said Paolo Tofoli – A good test for the boys. I wanted to see where we stood and I am quite satisfied. Still, there is a lot of work to be done in some fundamentals, like the serve and in reception especially on floating balls.
Next week, we’ll return the favour by travelling to Messina and then we’ll face three other A2 teams in a tournament organized here on the 22nd and 23rd with Matera, Reggio Emilia and Città di Castello”.
