Samuele Papi, nicknamed “O Phenomenon”, entered the history books as he played in Serie A1 as a 44-year old player.

In his long career, he won a lot of trophies: 6 Italian championships, 8 Super Cups, 3 Champions League trophies, 5 National Cups, 2 CEV Cups, adding also two silvers at the Olympic Games, two gold medals at the World Championships and five gold medals in World League.

When we talk about Hristo Zlatanov (40), in 2014 he reached a big milestone, scoring 9,000 points, becoming the best scorer ever in Italy (today, he has 9,688 points scored).

Recall that Papi was the first one to announce the end of a careeer, while Zlatanov did the same afterwards.
