Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena, Italian Women’s Volleyball Serie A1 members, officially hired Serbian player whose name is not so famous in the volleyball world but might be as from the next season.

A 23-year-old Mina Tomić, who can cover both attacking positions, landed to Modena after winning Ukrainian Championship and Cup four times each with Khimik Yuzhny in as many seasons. In addition, Tomić grabbed Serbian Championship and Cup, two times each, before that.

Thus, Modena continued strengthening their roster for 2017/2018 as they earlier hired: receiver Laura Partenio (Foppapedretti Bergamo), middle blocker Raffaella Calloni (Il Bisonte Firenze), libero Veronica Bisconti (Volley Soverato, Division 2), Colombian receiver Madelaynne Montaño (Chemik Police, Poland), setter Giulia Pincerato (Südtirol Bolzano) and Croatian opposite Katarina Barun-Šušnjar (Igor Gorgonzola Novara)

The club extended the deals with middle blockers Ilaria Garzaro and Belgian Laura Heyrman, receiver Caterina Bosetti, setter Francesca Ferretti and libero Giulia Leonardi, as well as with the coach Marco Gaspari.
