After making a startling comeback in Game 2 of the 2017/18 SuperLega playoff finals, the second-seed Lube did not have the energy to do the same in Game 3, in which No.1 Perugia prevailed at home by a 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23).
The Serbian Aleksandar Atanasijević delivered 24 points (5 aces) for Perugia, while his compatriot Marko Podraščanin and Simone Anzani made 4 kill blocks apiece. The Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov scored 18 points for Lube.
Game 4, in which, Perugia will have the chance to pin their first-ever SuperLega title, and a hat-trick of trophies in 2017/18, is scheduled for May 1.
