CAC W: Costa Rica still unbeaten

Costa Rica continued with a good play in Belize and are still unbeaten at the XX Central American Women’s Volleyball Cup.

 

Costa Rica once again showed that they are serious candidates to win this year’s competition. Today they defeated Guatemala after four sets and the differences between teams were seen in the second set when Costa Rica left only 9 points to their opponents.

They dominated from the service line 16-5  but also they won 25 points on the opponent’s errors.

Yuliana Gonzalez led her team with 19 points while Tannia Carazo Martinez scored 15 points. On the other side, Aury Alvarez and Martha Guillermo scored 9 points each.

Belize scored their second win. This time defeated Nicaragua after four sets and Nelissa Ramirez with 20 points and Sherika Burton with 19 points were the best scorers of the match.

 

Day 3

Guatemala – Costa Rica 1-3 (25-19, 9-25, 12-25, 15-25)

Nicaragua – Belize 1-3 (23-25, 10-25, 25-22, 13-25)

Panama – El Salvador 1-3 (21-25, 25-23, 14-25, 23-25)
