The federations of Italy and Russia, FIPAV and VFV, informed the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) that they won’t be sending their U19 national teams to the continental tournament in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia that’s scheduled to start in three days. Thus, they joined the German federation (DVV) who did the same earlier.
The FIPAV stressed that the reason for not going to the competition is the government provision that doesn’t allow trips of its citizens to Balkan countries.
As for the VFV, along with the reasons related to governmental restrictions, five players of the national team didn’t get the consent from their parents to travel.
