Brazil, double Olympic champions, is the most interesting women’s team in the world at this time. The darlings of the public will be challenged by Japan (FIVB ranked 3rd), Italy (4th), China (5th), Russia (6th), Germany (8th), Dominican Republic (10th) and, for the first time since 1996, Switzerland.

Brazilian coach José Roberto Guimarães (Zé Roberto) has still not confirmed his roster for Montreux, but has announced the 2013 national team program: The South Americans kick off on May 1st, then come to Montreux for their preparation of the 2013 Pan American Cup held in the Dominican Republic from June 4-15.

After a short summer break, Brazil will participate at the 2013 FIVB World Grand Prix from August 2 to September 1, before finishing the national team season with the Sud Americano in Peru (September) as well as the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup in Nagoya and Tokyo, Japan (November).
