“China was certainly the better team today. Our goal was to get a medal and today we made it silver, so that made me very happy and very proud of my team. Also this tournament was conducted beautifully, very well organized, good facilities, so we are very happy to be here.”
Taylor Tashima, USA Captain:
“We had never thought that we could come this far. We just kept practicing while we were in training sessions and when we played we managed to win each game . In the game against China , it was a hard-fought match between us. We played very hard and very well in the first two sets, but in the third set, we were pretty nervous and we didn’t concentrate on the game, so we were defeated. Congratulations to China.”
