OLYMPIC GAMES M: Méndez chooses 12 players for Tokyo

The head coach of Argentina Men’s Volleyball National Team, Marcelo Méndez, announced the list of 12 players who will compete at the Olympics in Tokyo.

Méndez composed the list of 12 players that will represent the Argentina National Team in the Olympic Games in Tokyo, starting from July 23. He enlisted a few Olympic debutants, but there are also players who will appear in such an event for the second or even third time.

After finishing its participation in the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League in Rimini, the Argentina NT will stay in Italy preparing for the tournament in Tokyo and then will travel to Japan to conduct the last stretch of training. In Italy, the South American side will play two friendlies against the hosts and is planned to arrive in the Japanese capital on June 20.

The Argentina Men roster:

Setters: Luciano De Cecco and Matías Sánchez

Opposite hitters: Bruno Lima and Federico Pereyra

Middle blockers: Sebastián Solé, Martín Ramos and Agustín Loser

Outside hitters: Facundo Conte, Cristian Poglajen, Ezequiel Palacios and Nicolás Méndez

Libero: Santiago Danani
