With 5,152 points, Soto broke the old record of 5,151 set by Luis “Feñito” Rodriguez, who retired last year after 24 seasons of service. The 36 year-old Soto said his new goal is to reach the 6,000-point plateau.
“The result of consistency and sacrifices with all those days of practice” said Soto and added:
“All my achievements are dedicated to my wife, my children and all my family, and that’s what matters the most at the end of the day,” he said.
