When you win the match in front of 9,000 frenetic fans, it simply has to be an emotional moment. That’s how the coach of Berlin Recycling Volleys, Australian Mark Lebedew felt after the game against PGE Skra Bełchatów.

“It was a phenomenal performance by my team and I am very proud of them. We made some changes and these helped us. I am very happy and it is a very emotional moment for me,” said Lebedew on the game for the bronze medal at Champions League Final Four.

His colleague on Skra’s bench, the Spaniard Miguel Ángel Falasca was brief during a post-game statement.

“We are having a difficult period where we do not play at the level we can. Berlin was a little better and in the end they deserve this victory.”
