If you go on the official website of the Men’s Club World Championship and visit the FORMULA section you will read this:
“The tenth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship will be held from October 27 to November 1 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The competition will feature six teams. Host club Sada Cruzeiro will welcome teams from Africa, Asia, Europe, NORCECA and South America.”
Yes, it says SIX teams, not EIGHT as in previous years. That means that winners of the 5 major club competitions + host will qualify for the tournament, why there will be no wild cards this year. Asseco Resovia and Belogorie Belgorod have therefore stayed out of the competition, as they were hoping to get those wild cards.
So the participants of the Men’s Club World Championship 2015 will be:
