It is not known yet how serious the injury of Łomacz is. For now, Polish head coach Stéphane Antiga has only one setter available – Fabian Drzyzga.

Łomacz came out in the starting lineup for the second time on the tournament. Unfortunately, he fell in the second set, but got up and continued playing. The third set was less fortunate for him and after falling at 9-6 for Poland, he had to leave the court. Fabian Drzyzga came in and led the team to a priceless win.

„He twisted his ankle. Fortunately, this didn’t happen during a jump in an attack, but in defense. The first test doesn’t show any severe damage. Of course, the most important for the state of his ankle will be tonight and tomorrow. Let’s hope that everything will be manageable and that he will be able to play,“ Polish team doctor commented on the situation with Łomacz.
