CUB: Argentine FIVB Mini Volleyball again in Cuba

The FIVB Argentine Volleyball Regional Development Centre (CDRV) was present at the training dates in Cuba. Thanks to an agreement among the CDRV, the Argentine Volleyball Federation, the Metropolitan Volleyball Federation, the Cuban Volleyball Federation and the Sport and Physical Culture Science Manuel Fajardo University, the exchange took place in La Habana.

 

Among the subjects discussed were how to start volleyball, different methods, development plans, motivation for the young athletes and conclusions of the 2nd. Symposium of International Mini-Volleyball and School Volleyball carried out in Argentina in the year 2011.

The people in charge of organizing the meetings and lectures were for Cuba, Master Pedro Manuel Téllez, while for Argentina, Prof. Horacio Gómez, person in charge of the CDRV Mini-Volleyball area and Mini-Volleyball Metropolitan Federation Secretary.

Prof. Gómez carried out a lecture and showed works done on how to start Mini-Volleyball training with young Cuban athletes. The training was done in small groups, like a round table, where all subjects that have to do with volleyball development in both countries were discussed.

Also talks with Lic. Francisco Medina Guzmán, Cuban Volleyball National Commission leader; the International Coach Gilberto Herrera and the former captain of the team of Cuba, Pavel Pimienta took place with the goal of creating a development plan working together with the goal of developing grass-root players.

To end the intensive activity while staying in Cuba, Gómez had the honour of being welcomed by the Argentine Ambassador, Ms. Juliana Marino, who showed great interest in knowing the activities developed by the expertise and support all activities that might help through mini-volleyball, the best human values of the children.
