Red Rockets’ receiver/outside hitter Akari Oumi played perfect game with 27 points while captain Haruyo Shimamura added 13. Japanese champions distributed points pretty evenly having three more players with double digits, while Turkish Yeliz Başa and Oumi added 5 blocks each. The 37 points by Miyu Nagaoka and 15 from Yuki Ishii were not enough for Hisamitsu to reach tie-break at least.

Another supreme game from Azeri bomber Polina Rahimova (45 points!) gave Toyota Auto Body Queenseis tie-break away win over Okayama Seagulls, partially 20-25, 26-24, 13-25, 28-26, 15-11). Aki Kawabata with 22 and Moe Sasaki with 21 point stood out in Okayama.

At opening of winners stage, we have seen another road victory. Hitachi Rivale downed Toray Arrows 3-1 (26-24, 26-24, 18-25, 25-22). American Lauren Paolini topped Hitachi’s scorers with 25 points, Nanami Inoue added 14. In Toray, Saori Sakoda collected 21 as the most efficient player in her team.
