GP 2016: Turnaround – Serbia won after 0-2 for Russia

With the win over Russia, women’s national team of Serbia started the third weekend of the FIVB World Grand Prix.

This is Serbian third win in this edition of Grand Prix and what is more interesting, Russia led 2-0 in this match.

Actually, Russia both sets has won with the two points difference 25:23 and 27:25 and when everybody thought that they will finish this match in three sets, Serbia made a break. 

Team of Serbia won the next two sets and in tie-break they led 10:5 after block of Bianka Buša over Nataliya Goncharova. Tijana Bošković scored new points for 13:9, Maja Ognjenović made ace for match point 14:9 and they used the fourth ball for the win. Tijana Malešević blocked Goncharova and Serbia took the match 3-2 (23-25, 25-27, 25-21, 25-20, 15-12).

Top scorer in the winning team was Stefana Veljković with 15 points followed by Jelena Nikolić 13, while Nataliya Goncharova scored 20 for Russia followed by Tatiana Kosheleva 19.
