It was the clash of two undefeated teams at the tournament. Both NEC Red Rockets and Bayi Shenzhen have won all their games until the finals, so the fans were expecting a great volleyball battle for the trophy.
However, the finals turned out to be completely one-sided. NEC Red Rockets totally outplayed Bayi Shenzhen and scored a straight sets win – 3:0 (25:23, 25:19, 25:21)!
It is the 1st ever Asian Club Championship title for NEC Red Rockets, while it is the third time in history that some Japanese club became the best at the continent. Before this triumph of the Rockets, it was Hisamitsu Springs who claimed the gold in 2002 and 2014.
