It was a game full of ups and downs, with the Czech Republic comfortably winning the first set, before the hosts could pocket the next two. Bulgaria was very close to finish it off in four sets as the local heroines went up 19:10 in set 4, but the Czechs stormed back to call for the tie-break. Bulgaria eventually closed it out there thereby going to Budapest next week as the provisional leader of the Pool.
“It was a very nervous game with a lot of errors and maybe this was caused by the pressure. After all I am happy that we found our way again and could win the game” said home mentor Marcello Abbondanza.
