Theory sessions were held at Morogoro Secondary School, while the course’s practical classes were carried out at Bwalo volleyball courts.

The course, which was specifically tailored for sports teachers in secondary schools, was organised by the Tanzania Volleyball Association (TAVA) as part of its nation-wide programme to develop coaches and officials over the next five years.

Local instructor Somo Kimwaga, who is also the national youth coach, directed the course with full support from CAVB and the FIVB.

The closing ceremony was officially attended by regional commissioner Ndugu Joel Bendera.
