The team is coached by Natalia Malaga, one of the most legendary players in the history of Peruvian female volleyball and member of the silver medal winning team at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.
Fifteen Peruvian girls spent one week in Dominican Republic training and playing daily scrimmage games with the Dominican Republic team at the Santo Domingo Volleyball Complex.
During their stay in Santo Domingo, the Peruvians had the opportunity to visit the historical part of the city and had a rest day in Boca Chica Beach. The ambassador of Peru in Dominican Republic, Mr. Enrique Palacios, attended a farewell dinner offered to the Peruvian officials and technical staff.
The team traveled to Havana, Cuba on Wednesday to complete their training program.
