Brøndby from Denmark won the gold medals after a 3-1 (22-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-23 ) win in the final against Førde VBK from Norway.
“This win in the NEVZA Club Championships means the world to us,” said Brøndby coach Jens Bang and added:
“When both teams play taking so many risks, you often see that the house of cards falls totally when it falls. Last week we dissipated two match points and a big lead in the fifth set. To be honest, I did not think we would stand here with the gold medals,” he concluded.
Holte IF, who is currently the leader in the Danish league, took the bronze medal.
