The 30-year old Radulović got back to Poland after more than a decade as she had spent the 2001/2002 season playing for the likes of Aluprof, so this game was very special for her.

“By the time I came to Poland and played for BIELSKO-BIALA I was only 18” she recalls. “I still remember that I had the opportunity to learn a lot from Monika Gorszyniecka who is now our Team Manager here in Sopot. I was extremely happy to start that chapter of my Volleyball career in this country.”

Radulović – who is wearing the jersey no. 13 – has moved to Atom Trefl from Russia where she had started the current season playing for Yenisey KRASNOYARSK.

“Things were not that easy in Russia where you have to travel a lot and go for long flights because the places where you play are very far away from your home town. It was really exhausting for it was all about flying, playing the match, flying back and then start with the next trip. If I am right, I think that last October I spent 23 days being on a journey.

Bojana will be competing with Izabela Belcik and youngster Natalia Gajewska for a place in the starting six.

“When you have to fight for your place, this is always beneficial to the team because every player tries to play her best. However, the most important thing is that we keep on winning every match we play. I will be very happy if I can play and help the team achieve the goals our management has set for this season” she continues. “I remember Izabela from the first season I spent here in Poland. She is an excellent player and I think I still can learn something from her.”

The Serbian-born setter who throughout her career has played in her native Serbia, but also in Italy and Romania, is very happy with her return to Poland.

“Volleyball here is very well organised and you always get the opportunity to play at a very high level. What’s more, this club, Atom Trefl SOPOT, is strong and very professional, so I am happy about being here.
