“This was the first and probably the last time that I faced such a unique opportunity to take part in an event like this,” said Izabela Belcik, Atom Trefl SOPOT women’s volleyball team captain shortly after ending her 200-meter-long run in Ergo Arena before IAAF World Indoor Championships Sopot 2014.

“I am feeling really great!  I had an opportunity to join this event here at our awesome hall, getting onto the athletics track for the very first time in my life.  I realize that this weekend it will be the meeting place for the best runners in our country during Poland’s championships, but then also for the best athletes in the world from the beginning of the March.  It was my first, but probably the last time to enjoy such a great experience. I am very happy about it,” revealed Belcik.

Shortly after the run, the Atomic player put on her jacket and went on to spend the rest of her free day.  However, as she pointed, she did not plan to rest for a long time as on Monday morning she was due to leave for Cetniewo where Atom Trefl SOPOT would hold a training camp.  Poland’s champions will spend three days three to prepare well for the upcoming Polish national cup quarterfinals.
